In math, we have learned new strategy games that help teach us addition. This week, we really enjoyed learning how to play Bump.
We have had so much fun counting down the days of school with the alphabet. Game day was a blast!
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo and learned about the holiday.
Our focus book of the week was a fun rhyming seek and find book. Our sight words were "my" and "with".
We focused on the letter Qq with Quilla the Queen.
We also learned Jj with Jungle Jim.
In science, we began learning about water. We talked about the properties of water and discussed how water moves and flows.
Some students were motivated to make the water cycle after learning about it.
We had so many interruptions to our learning this week. It gets crazy at the end of the year with testing and extra activities, plays, round-up, etc. I appreciate all of your cards and flowers this week for teacher appreciation week. The DVD the children made is very special. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I hope you have a very Happy Mother's Day.
